Founded in 1996, Marycare works to break the vicious cycle of poverty in communities marginalized and isolated by their ethnic and socio-economic status through programs of

Marycare is different because there is no paid administrative staff. Much of our work is done by native leaders who are committed to our mission and to assisting their communities in rising out of unlivable conditions. We bypass governmental red tape and go directly to the community we are helping.

- Moringa Project

  • In 2011, Greenwich World Hunger Association generously funded a nutritional program to teach Nigerian women the benefits of growing, preparing and eating the moringa plant.

- Upcoming 2012 World Health Conference

  • On April 21, 2012 Unite for Sight will host a World Health and Development Conference at Yale University to discuss ongoing cases of organizations providing solutions to needy areas. Marycare will be presenting on bringing the Plumpy Nut to Nigeria and how its nutritional benefits can help malnourished children.
